On 13th December 2023 our Separate Science students were lucky enough to secure tickets for the spectacular Christmas Chemistry Lecture delivered by Dr F S Mair from the University of Manchester. The lecture focused on instilling a sense of excitement and wonder. The fast-paced demonstrations were linked with a commentary which delivered useful illustration of a range of points from the syllabus including solids, liquids, gases, combustion, respiration, periodicity and dependence of rate upon state of division. Dr Mair has given hundreds of these lectures throughout the North West and beyond and students were left amazed and inspired to see Live Science in action!
